I didn’t get Monday’s BM, Kieran, and it wasn’t on their website (well, what is?), so is there any chance you could reproduce the article here?

It’s official that you’re running then, I take it. How was the article prompted, given that your official launch is not until October 6th, a leak?

Good luck and I hope Wodonga realises what a valuable contribution you would make.

Thanks Kieran, I see Brad got the infamous Wangman episode in. Pity he didn’t mention it wasn’t you who wrote the piece that got under the Mayor’s skin, although I don’t think it does you any harm and at least it’s raised your status to one of the “notables”.

I understand if these are the thing’s that will be released on the 6th of October, but i would be interested on:
    1. Who else is running on the ticket?
    2. What order will they be?
As a Albury resident it’s more curiosity then anything, But i do wish you good luck on your campaign.

I’ll be confirming details of our bid on the sixth.

On tickets, Victoria doesn’t have a ticket system. There is no “above the line” option, so “ticket order” isn’t really an issue.

“Groups” play less of a role, because there is no great incentive or organise an official “group” in order to get an “above the line option”. The vast majority of candidates will deny they are part of a “group”, but they will still group together to exchange preferences with like minded candidates.

In coming out and openly saying “we’re Greens and we’re running together” Dennis and I will be doing something rather unusual for Wodonga council elections. And it may be a disadvantage.

But we’re still going to do it. Ultimately it’s true. We are both members of the Greens and we are running together.

Well at least by putting your Greens connection to the forefront you’ll find out the level of support for your party in Wodonga.

Heck Kieran, if you do well in ‘redneck city’ the Greens might then be encouraged to beef themselves up nationally and you might find yourself elevated up the party ranks!

If there were party ranks to be elevated up of course. This is the Greens we’re talking about, things are never that conventional!

Oh that’s right, it’s the party where ALL the members vote for the Parliamentary leader, or something like that. Anyway Kieran, tomorrow’s the big launch, I believe. Good luck and could I get a copy of the release please?

We’ve delayed it until the 10th. Problems getting material ready in time. I’ll send you a copy of the release now.
